My Clinical Supervision Caseload is Currently Full
Please note that I do not provide supervision to unlicensed clinicians practicing as independent contractors or in their own private practice. Thank you for your understanding.
Supervision Philosophy
Each supervisee’s clinical journey and development is unique, and should be treated as such. I utilize a person-centered approach guided by the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) of supervision and attachment theory to support the working alliance and nurture growth.
The primary focus of supervision is development of a strong clinical foundation built on strong ethics, case conceptualization, clinical skills, and self of the therapist development. The supervisory alliance is foundational to clinical development; therefore, I hold it in the highest regard. It is imperative that supervision be: collaborative; a safe and nurturing environment that allows for open communication and feedback; flexible in nature; and respectful of individual identities, learning styles, experiences, needs, and goals.
I am a proponent of life-long learning, growth based in self-awareness, and consistent evaluation as part of providing ethical care to clients. It is within that spirit that I continuously seek opportunities to develop clinically. I consistently engage in training that supports growth and mastery of my practice, as well as remain current on trends in the social work, counseling, psychology, and neuroscience fields.
Psychotherapy Orientation
My supervision philosophy mirrors my practice orientation of person-centered, attachment focused, and polyvagal (neuro) informed. The primary treatment approaches I utilize are EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I integrate aspects of CBT to support treatment progress. Through these treatment approaches, individuals, couples, and families can experience security within the therapeutic relationship and feel safe to take steps that lead to lasting change and healthy development.
